The every day stories of three every day monkeys ..... now embarking on a whole series of new adventures after swapping the many pleasures of Wolverhampton for a more peaceful, bijoux, riverside way of life in Evesham.
Last night Auntie Jan took me to the Arcade to try and win a big, green, funny faced dragon for Lucy on one of those crane machines, but I was rubbish at it and didn’t get her one.
Then we played air hockey, Auntie Jan won because her arms are longer than mine.
And then I had one last fairground ride. I’ve had a BRILLIANT time but now it’s time to go home.
I have a bag of rock to take home and share with everyone, they can suck a piece while I tell them of all about my adventures.
I remembered to send a postcard to the “Ladies in the Office”. They have a special wall where they put all the postcards they are sent during the year.
After I had written my postcard we went for a long walk in the dunes.
I was full of fresh air and Granny said I had glowing cheeks.
Then we went to say goodbye to the Iron Men
And I had a long think while sitting on a log.
After tea Auntie Jan takes me to the Amusement Arcade, I’m not very sure about how a lot of them work, so I generally just look.
But I have used my 2p’s in the Penny Falls, I wish Lucy was with us, because Penny Falls is her very favourite Arcade Game.
I won a few times, but I put it all back …… Auntie Jan says that’s what everyone does!
You had to put 10p’s in this machine – but Auntie Jan said I could spend my money on better things and have something to show for it!
Auntie Jan is very wise like that ……
When we were walking along the beach, I thought I saw a huge flying saucer and I was a little hesitate about going too near.
But when we got closer it was a leisure centre, with a cafe, so we stopped and had a very warming cup of coffee.
Nothing to be scared of after all.
One of my favourite parts of Crosby beach (apart from the Iron Men) is here! It’s covered with lots of old house bricks.
But some have been really washed about by the sea and have broken and become very rounded and smooth.
I have got four lovely ones in my backpack and when I get home I am going to make them into something very very special.
Mum, Granny and Auntie Jan say the chalet is very basic and that they will be filling in the customer questionnaire in accordingly, before we leave.
They let me feed the electricity meter with special cards, it was fun seeing the money add up on the little screen.
There are lots of things to do but we like to spend our days out on the beach.
After a long day on the beach it’s nice to come back to the chalet and have a really warm shower after tea.
The bath/shower is really strange as it’s not very long, and has a seat in it
My bed is strange too, it’s a settee that turns into a bed, how brilliant is that?
Sometimes when I sleep in a strange bed it takes me ages to nod off.
Today when I went down to the beach I found a star fish, it was BEAUTIFUL!
When I get back to the chalet I like to look at all my beach treasures.
I found an interesting piece of wood ……
A big blue stone and some shells.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare.
Crosby Beach is a magical place.
Auntie Jan has been before, she LOVES it and I LOVE it too now.
I was lost in my thoughts.
Today has been a brilliant day.
I love pancakes and this is the first time I have been allowed to make them on my own, but rather than make a mess all over the kitchen with bowls, and weighing and whisking etc. I got an all in one shake ‘n make pancake mix from Tesco. All you need to do is add water and shake! How BRILLIANT is that?
I was very careful and followed all the instructions.
I wonder if it is ready to toss yet?
Ooooooops a daisy!
Better try again ……
Pancake Day is the start of Lent – I am giving up sweeties ….. i think it will be very very hard!
