Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
Looks like a stillson and a mole grip may be needed for such jobs. PTFE tape and plumbers are handy too.
ReplyDeleteDoes this make me sound as though I know what I'm talking about? It is an illusion.
MR D i was well impressed i was thinking not only is Mr D a master of the dictionary an intellectual multilingual giant and intercontinental world traveller but to top it all he is a secret handy man lol well i for one was illusionised by your use of all things tool like ( i know that illusionised is not a real word i looked it up but i kind of like it think i will chuck it in my coversation today along with mole grip lol monkey your secret is safe with us big love Marc
ReplyDeleteNo need for concern, Monkey, it is a wise and confident man who knows his limits and and turns to the expert to get needed help..Remember, assistants are important too, and often make it possible for the professional expert to do their job. ....Mr.D must be the master of all he surveys!.....Hope you all are having a wonderful 2 week fun time off....Dianne
ReplyDeleteMarc and Dianne,
ReplyDeleteI am not an expert like Andy but I have a stilson and have used PTFE tape but not plumbers mait. (I missed the mait before plumbers in my original comment.)
I did put my own central heating in when I lived in London using end feed fittings. Monkey can ask Andy about these.
Marc - I like the word illusionised but I better not use it with my Palestinian colleagues. They will think it is a real word and it could spread across the region.
Mr.D, central heating instillation is far more than beginner hndywork. Your words carry the weight of knowledge and experience! Most impressive......Dianne
ReplyDeleteMr. D, you do instill confidence with the tech words, but understand you installed central heating.....got to quit doing 3 things at once..noticed that as it went off into cyberspace...Dianne
ReplyDeleteDianne,
ReplyDeleteAn edit option would be useful in case we don't proof read our comments very well.
