There have been a couple of changes to the lives of Tom and the Lovely Laura since their most glorious and romantic wedding day in August last year, the mere thought of which still never fails to bring a tear to Darrell’s eye and a manly sniff or two, what is he like?
However, we digress, Tom and the aforementioned Lovely Laura, though very happy in their “original” marital home in David Cameron’s constituency of Witney, had to relocate for work purposes and following a long search have finally settled in Evesham and this week we received an invitation to visit ….. and so to say we were excited beyond belief would be a slight understatement!!!
OMG …… to say it is mahoooosive, would be an understatement, there is so much to tell you, but in order to keep it short …… the highlights for us are that it has got two lots of stairs, which is so posh, we are so proud! The house is soooooo tall Tom wants to call it Snake Mountain, but Laura’s doesn’t seem so keen! We didn’t want to cause an international incident, though obviously we very much approved of the name, especially as our humble abode is called Castle Greysquirrel, so we just bought a very plain and tastefully simple number plate for the front of the house as our house warming gift ….. the Snake Mountain can come later!!!!!
Tom and the Lovely Laura also have three toilets, which again, for us, is just too wonderful …. there is always an unseemly rush at Castle Greysquirrel during the commercial break of X Factor or Britain’s Got Talent …. but, if we lived at Tom and the Lovely Laura’s it would be a most sedate affair … with each of us able to glide off to our very own bathroom of choice!!
But …… poshest of all……. is the TV lounge ….. which is upstairs, how de rigueur is that???? And, Evesham Lounging facilities, something Tom confessed was mainly due to Darrell’s influence! 
As we all looked around, exploring each room, there were a great deal of sighs …… Witney was lovely, if bijoux ……
……. Snake Mountain is like a palace ….. with a spare room (we noted) for our extended visits ……. Happy New Home Tom and the Lovely Laura ……. it is all very lovely and we are a tad jealous xxxxxx

ReplyDeletewhat a lovely new home and all looks very upscale and gorgeous......most certainly not bijoux......I know the decoration will be exceptional based on the lovely Laura's good taste and all that great design talent from Castle Greysquirrel!.......I am with the lovely Laura on NOT embracing the Snake Mountain bit.......the Lounging facilities look very comfortable and gorgeous...... so happy for the Lovely Laura and Tom the Scientist to have found such a beautiful home!....Dianne
