There Will Be NO Trash Can Challenge On My Watch!!!

Darrell has spotted a new sign outside the Woodman, the only pub in the village …..
……. and I don’t have to be a brain surgeon to know EXACTLY where his train of thought was going  …….
…….. AND I can tell you now, very robustly, very categorically and quite calmly, that there will be no going of any head to head challenge type nature ….. between him and Nigel!
We’ve been strangers to the salad bowl of late, mainly because the winter months seem to demand more of a comfort type food, but I need to get those two back on track, and they don’t need any adverse encouragement from our local hostelry!

    Stranger to the salad bowl.....hmmm.....yes cos, iceburg or little gem are but a distant memory between these brick walls - and cucumber well I just look on Channel Four for that! JantheFan x

    The salad urge does hit me quite frequently....but winter even in Florida does bring the urge for soups and Sunday night supper of pancakes or waffles with sausage (Morningstar veggie sausage for me).....guess it is just natural to crave heavy meals when it is colder....but fresh fruits and salads will be along with spring and summer are just around the corner! ...Dianne

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
