A Total Eclipse Of Our Hearts?

This morning something of a very, very, very romantic type nature is going to occur between the hours of 8.45am and 9.35am, because we will find ourselves shrouded, neigh enveloped in twilight during normal daylight hours, for what has been predicted to be the most spectacular eclipse of the sun (about 80%) for 15 years  ……. how robustly and totally brilliant is that?
Sadly, we will be at work during the proceedings, but there is no way we are going to miss such a romantic yet spooky astronomical alignment and so aim to pop out and watch when we can (abiding by health and safety regulations and donning our protective glasses naturally).Nigel was almost beside himself with excitement when he heard about it all on the news …. so excited that I thought he might spontaneously combust there and then, it being his first eclipse.  He then disappeared for ages,  to do,  he said “some reading!”
Goodness only knows what he was “reading”, because when he reappeared he started to ask all sorts of strange questions,  in particular whether I thought that the only Tesco Express in the village sold holy water, crucifixes, and wooden stakes …… so I thought it prudent to have a man to man chat with him before bedtime last night about the moon and the sun and the earth before his overactive little imagination got the better of him!!!!!! I blame the internet!!!!

  2. Goodness-I think you might need to put some filters on your internet browser. The next thing might be strange religious cults.....!!

  3. Oh my, take care Nigel....wouldn't want him to enter into a Twilight Zone (as in Rod Serling's imagination)battle with an unknown entity; shudder to think of it.....eclipses can seem magical and wondrous ...let's hope he keeps it in prospective..... enjoy your twilight experience..... who doesn't love twilight time?....Dianne

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
