Iris absolutely adores Aunty Hugh and the feeling is very much reciplicated …… if Iris is awake, Hugh will not leave her side, not for a second, just in case …. “she need zee something no?”
For someone who is an admitted stranger to zee very small persons, Hugh is an undoubted “au naturel”!
In fact, I think Iris takes advantage of his very kind and patient nature ……..
It’s all a wondrous revelation …….. this is a side of Hugh, none of us has ever seen before …….
…… a Hugh …… relishing and revelling in the leading role of zee Maiden Aunt no?
……..even down to zee cleaning up bits! Who would ever have believed it!!!!

I think Hugh has found his true calling?! If the novelty wears off at least he'll have something to discuss with his show business friends.
