Hugh’s Canine Objets D'Arts….

Back in Notting Hill Hugh has a  collection of Baftas, signed photos in frames of his celebrity friends on his piano and some very exquisite objets d’arts, presents, he modesty revealed, from Royalty and Heads of State who he has entertained. Darrell always seems to spot something “lovely” that he hasn’t noticed before, but doesn’t touch!

IMG_4159We are always on the lookout for a little ceramic basset during our forays into the odd Evesham charity shop to add to Hugh’s collection, but they are quite hard to find, especially as Hugh is quite fussy, he can’t abear to see bassets being depicted as being overly intellectual by wearing glasses, because, although he loves them to pieces, as he is oft heard to mutter, as a breed, they are not the brightest doggies in the window!!!

    Some great basset hounds. Hugh could also include a basset horn and a basset clarinet in his collection - both types of clarinet.

    one does love ones little collection of basset hounds and yes i am not to keen on them in glasses or looking like sherlock holmes i know why they make them look like it becuase once they get a scent of something they wont stop till they find it , and they can look wise yes they are cleaver but they are stubborn and will only do what they want when they want lol and its even harder to find ones that dont look like a Disney character over sweet as they do look like soft toys when they are pups all big eyes and ears but if truth be known i love the breed so much i would have almost anything with a basset on it lol big showbiz wave and air kiss Hugh

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
