Nigel Is Learning …..

Nigel is quite receptive to Darrell’s tutoring on what is currently de rigueur, must have and trending and what is not  of a home decor type nature………

…… and as such has noted that though artificial, outdoor hanging baskets may be regarded as quiche kitsch and en vogue in certain circles …….

……. they don’t really work for him!

  1. It looks like a dandelion on the right.

Maybe it would look better if there were three flying ceramic ducks underneath.

  2. I'm so with you on this Nigel! I don't 'get' the current fashion for having those round fake leafy balls that light up either! They're so obviously artificial and look pants!

  3. Using artificial flowers/plants is always tricky despite advertising saying they are "life like".....not really my choice but I do have some dried flowers/boxwood topiaries I plead guilty to using; but they have to be kept dust free or it starts looking like Miss Haversham has been hanging out there!.....Fresh greenery for the holidays in Florida is a real problem; the outside wreaths/garlands usually turn full on brown with the dead brown needles all over!....thankfully we can rely on Darrell's sophisticated decorating knowledge to keep us informed!...Love you, Dianne

  4. Oh well - I love to see them - not something I would do but a bit of colour is always pleasant to see and lifts my spirits no end! JantheFan x

  5. I'm with Dianne and Jenthefan here - we have some all green topiary ones hither and thither - and they DO need a little flick over as spiders love 'em and will happily cover them with their webs. Very pretty in today's mist though.

    Hugs

    Di xx

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
