It seems as if the whole world is conspiring against us in our efforts to keep Nigel nice and calm even before the festive season has started, but yesterday I just about despaired ……..
……… because in Evesham we had snow! It was, I would say a twenty minute flurry at the very most ……..
……. but enough to have Nigel panicking as to whether we should start warming up the mince pies, collect kindling and have Cliff’s Greatest Christmas Hits playing to give The Towers the perfect ambiance ….. I’m sorry but just the image of Sir Lord Cliff donned in his Christmas jumper, warbling Mistletoe and Wine very nearly had me diving under the duvet for cover! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
It was as bad, Darrell told me when he arrived back in a slightly dishevelled state from Lldl, where he popped in, in all innocence, to pick up a packet of custard creams to go with our morning coffee. One minute, he said, it was all very peaceable and civilised and then someone yelled “SNOW” and at that there was a stampede and all the shelves of bread, milk and potatoes were striped as if by locusts.
Needless to say we had crushed custard creams with our morning coffee, totally unsuitable for dunking, casualties of Darrell dodging the marauding crowds and getting out of Lldl as fast as he could! Erm ….. happy days?
Poor Nigel in his dilemma & poor Darrell-a stampede in Lidl is not the place to be when purchasing Custard Creams!

ReplyDeleteo i am so sorry my darling boys but all the chaos and drama about the sudden snowfall was i have to admit was all down to little old me i am afraid i had the clouds sprinkled with a faux snow powder as i am just around the corner from you filming a very hush-hush Christmas film /kids Christmas next big toy /broadway stag musical and book that will be out and ready for next year . i am afraid the helicopter that was sprinkling the snow crystal was a few miles off so you got a tiny glimpse of the amazing snowfall we had on set ,so apologies from little old me for causing such a free publicity moment wink wink, and o boys i am so hoping you are around as i am not liking the seedy so called 5star Motel room i am having to call home for a few months its playing havoc with my creative juices so little old me was wondering if i could pop in for a litte chat and a dunky custard cream if its ok with you darling boys i will get my people to talk to your people and arange a little vist toddeloo for now yours with big christmas air kisses and sowbiz wave your pal HUGH
