Living La Vida Lockdown – Day 53 – Plummy Voices Don't Cut It With Us Joanna!

Yesterday afternoon, with nothing better to do, we agreed to assist a friend who needed to practice some work they were doing at home. Since we’d only got Judge Rinder on our agenda, naturally we said yes, well it would have been rude not to, especially as we assumed it might be something of a church type nature.

At the appointed time we were WhatsApp-ed and after brief introductions, given a code to enter a website, it was all getting exciting, especially when greeted with a video featuring the very fragrant and plummy Joanna Lumley ……

……. it was going well  ……… and then a little further along it dawned, we were in the middle of a presentation persuading us to consider switching our utilities with tempting money saving bundles, not a single mention of pews, cassocks, holy water, or bell ringing, for that matter!

Well, once the penny dropped our answers became pretty monosyllabic and no, we didn’t trill at the idea a cash back card, we felt, a little foolish, but lesson learned. Next time we are asked to help someone practice something, we will conduct an intensive and in depth investigation of said person and practice first, rest assured, we will probe, probably where no other person has probed before.

We won’t be caught again! As Nigel so succinctly put it “That was an hour in our lives we will NEVER EVER get back again, be it meltdown or not!” and finished with an agggghhhhhhhhhhhh!
