It’s amazing the things that can happen while you’re away on your holibobs in a week or so.
Nigel was just going into town when he noticed that the wasteland running along the new(ish) caravan site and river had been cleared ……..
…… but, we are no getting too excited ……..
…… because it was cleared a couple of years ago, and then absolutely nothing happened, apart from everything all growing back again, plus more.
We did originally hear rumours then that it was going to be a small estate with a few shops under residential properties and did get quite excited, speculating as to what new said shops would be, half hoping for a fish and chip shop near enough to nip up to and get back from, before our chips got cold ……. but as I said, all we got was more brambles and weeds.
…… so Nigel says that until he sees serious looking gentleman men clad in hard hats and florescent vests with some serious working machinery, the gates to his curiosity will remain firmly shut, what is he like?
Fingers crossed, especially for a chip shop.
ReplyDeleteMind you, once Nigel sees someone in a hard hat and a Hi Vis vest, he will get his own out and will be down there like a shot. Perhaps with a packed lunch and a flask of coffee.
Oh it's all happening again, fingers crossed for some excitement in coming months - and that doesn't include Dec 25th - excitement is a given for that day!
