Boiled, Mashed, Chipped, Roasted and Jacket.

After my success with my Christmas trees I am trying my hand at potatoes.
Racking Having a rest
Its HARD work but we’ll have free chips for months when they are ready or harvested as we horticulturists say.
Looking at potatoe patch 
And I find mans work is very satisfying, providing for my family.

I have marked all the gardening programmes in the Radio Times so I don’t miss any.

    There is nothing better than home grown potatoes, it is very exciting when the first shoots burst through the earth, but i feel sad when we have to recover them.

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
