It’s Carnival Time!

Carnival Time in Bilbrook
My apologies, I have been so preoccupied with the World Cup ….. because it really is the ONLY thing I can think about at the moment, that I have forgotten all sorts of other things that have been happening …. like the village carnival on Saturday.

Darrell and I found ourselves an excellent vantage point …….

........ and took lots of pennies to put in the rattling tins and cheered and clapped as each float went by.

We both agreed we liked the Ghostbusters float best,
gHOSTBUSTERS
and fortunately didn’t get too covered with anti-ectoplasm foam stuff!

    Woo..Looks like both of you had a great time! I do miss our village carnival...when i was younger myself and my brother used to dress up and walk around the village...it was the highlight of the year at our village..but sadly it doesn't happen anymore.

    Great that you still have Carnival! Our nearest is September and in the dark, so it's a job to appreciate all the hard work to be honest!

    You should have a Monkey float next year - assuming Monkeys float. Can Monkeys swim?

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
