The confirmation for Darrell’s advertent £9.50 Sun Holiday has finally arrived. I didn’t want to say anything to him until I was sure everything was finalised.
I wasn’t exactly sure where he was going, as I had to put several options on the form, but he is off to Mudeford in Dorset. I have arranged everything, including an upgrade to a “Gold” caravan, linen and an entertainment pass!
You can imagine how excited Darrell was, bless him. He kept on reading the letter over and over again, saying “I’m going on an advertent Sun Holiday, oh my life!”
Then it got a bit too much for him and he got a little emotional in an X Factor sob story type way.
It’s two weeks before his adventure, so I am going to have to keep a tight lid on his excitement ….. especially as he wanted to pack his suitcase there and then. I have suggested that we should research the delights of Mudeford and its surrounding area on the internet so he can plan a small itinerary.
"Oh my life." Mmm, I wonder where I have heard that before. Exciting times with an entertainment pass too. Maybe Monkey can be part of the entertainment. Congrats. The only downside is having to read The Sun.
