On the advice of Sandra, the Resources Lady, Darrell has joined the union. “Doing rush photocopying jobs has it’s responsibilities and potential hazards….” she told him “…and it wouldn’t hurt to get yourself some protection, especially in this current uncertain climate”
At first Darrell was a bit apprehensive, he was worried that one day he might be called up to stand round a burning brassiere or be asked to wield a placard that said “Up with Something” or “Down with Something”. But Sandra reassured him that if ever he got the call, everyone in the office would be right there with him, all with their brassieres alight …. so he wouldn’t be on his own.
It was packed full of useful stuff, a pen and pencil, a badge, and a fuzzy bug ….
…. plus a multi-headed highlighter pen, which Darrell used straight away to highlight all the salient points in the union handbook (also enclosed) that were pertinent to himself and his job.
There was also a pocket personal alarm …
…… which he gave to Mollie because, as he said, “I’m of a ruffty tuffty type nature and can look after myself …. but Mollie smells of Comfort ……!” What is he like?
The union will also take up your cause if you should be unlucky enough to slip up on a banana whilst at work. Hugs Mrs A & Monkey & Norm.
