‘Gong Xi Fa Cai!'

Or ….. Happy Chinese New Year ….. we practised saying “Gong Xi Fa Cai” at every opportune opportunity last night until we were almost fluent and bilingual ….
Chinese Red Envelopes….. in order that we could greet each other properly this morning, whilst exchanging our lucky red envelopes  or Hong Bao, containing a few coins and a couple of sweets,  which will hopefully bring us much robust good luck and wealth in this, the Year of the Snake.
Gok Cooks ChineseDarrell said that tonight we shall also feast greatly to welcome in the New Year,  as he had got his Gok Wan out and has been busy preparing something sumptuous of a Chinese type nature for our celebratory teatime repast ….

    You are far better than I to tackle those Chinese phrases! Darrell's cooking is looking delicious; definitely getting your 5 a day there....looks like Darrell might also be getting a steamy facial to boot!....wishing you lots of Chinese noms....Dianne

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
