The Most Joyous News ….. Ever, Ever, Ever ……. Ever, Ever, Ever …..

Today,  we have the most joyous and wonderful news to impart to you …….
…… for we are to become relatives …..  to wit uncles,  for Tom the Scientist and The Lovely Laura are having a baby! We are not ashamed to admit that as soon as we heard the news, many tears of a very manly type nature were shed ….. and I believe too, that several loud sobs emanated from Darrell’s direction!  We have never had real baby before ……. and don’t quite know what to expect, but Darrell is already feeling nauseous at the mere mention of fish fingers preferring now to nibble on coal and Nigel is having to spend a penny rather more frequently than is usually normal ….. what are they like?
I have told them firmly, stressing very robustly that all this “coming out in sympathy” with Tom and The Lovely Laura has to be nipped in the bud before it gets silly and that we should channel our energies in to pursuits of an expectant but useful type nature ……
…… and so, for the next few months we shall mostly be occupied in the knitting little booties for the baby’s ten tiny weeny toes ……
….. and pondering upon names! Early contenders are obviously Shera and Duncan, since Tom and the Lovely and now Blooming Laura live in Snake Mountain …….
This is the most wonderful news since the wedding of the year ..... and we are determined to best uncles ever!

    This spectacular news makes for one of the happiest days ever...ever...ever!......you are going to be the very best Uncles.....but my oh my!...these sympathetic/empathetic symptoms are going to be quite interesting if they persist!.....Congratulations to one and all at Castle Greysquirrel and to the Mum to be, Lovely Laura and Father to be, Brilliant Scientist Tom.......may every day bring joy as all wait for this special occasion!....soooooo exciting!!!.... Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
