Darrell is still thinking about Hugh’s ear piercing, nothing flamboyant, just a discreet but tres, tres de rigueur (and quite romantic in a certain light), pearl earring!
But, as you know, Darrell very much prefers to be a stranger to sharp objects, i.e needles, as far as their insertion into his body is concerned……
……. however, it hasn’t stopped him from loitering outside Claire’s for a most days after work trying to get a glimpse of the ear-piercing chair in the hope of gauging peoples reaction …. and he says “…. the volume of their screaming!”, of which, I must hasten to add, he has heard none. 
He has also been pondering an alternative clip on variety ….. but he says “They just do not have same the kudos as a stud or hoop” ….. 
I know he is absolutely desperate to have it done ……. it’s just the making of the hole he doesn’t like!
How about a teeny bit of velcro to hold a pearl in place - snort :))

It's all about the power of the mind. If someone can walk over hot coals and not feel pain I'm sure Darrell can manage to persevere the discomfort while getting a hole put in his ear. I think a little ear ring would look rather fetching. JantheFan x

ReplyDeleteDarrell certainly has a quandary...the possibility of screaming with pain versus adornment......perhaps if he watched a youngish person getting pierced, it might help and sometimes they have a teddy bear for the "patient" to hold during "surgery".....decisions, decisions.....Dianne
