Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
Eating peas, carrots, cauliflower, green beans, broccoli, peas and cabbage gives you seven a day, without even any fruit. Peas are on the list twice. (Either a mistake or double rations.)
ReplyDeleteMost impressive.
I currently have cabbage, carrots, leeks, broccoli and acelgas (swiss chard) cooking in the steamer.
I like kale but it isn't common here.
Ooooer, add a Yorkshire Pudding (or several) to that lot and we'll be there - 'toot sweet'!!
ReplyDeleteWe gave up ordering online grocery deliveries after we got ONEe onion and SIX bags of potatoes, instead of the other way round. It was really quite an effort with our little legs humping the spare bags of spuds round to all the neighbours as donations from us. So it's only when things are desperate here and Miss Di is laid flat out with her back that we run the risk. And we like the flash of the yellow car on your drive BTW!
Love and hugs

Lucky you!....home delivery and the occasional mysterious surprise....Home delivery of groceries is not the norm here in the US, but was fairly common in the 1940's to the early 1950's .......some stores like Wal-Mart offer free shipping to your home on orders over $50 which includes non perishable food and household supplies.....Dianne
ReplyDeleteSend some up to me - I've hardly eaten all day! That will do nicely. Thanking you kindly. Jan-thehungry-Fan x
ReplyDeleteNot such a bad sub, unlike my friend at Christmas. Ordered a fresh turkey and was subbed with turkey burgers!
