When we first laid claim to our sunbeds on the first day of our Greek Odyssey Darrell went for a walk, his head down, scouring the sand/pebbles for a holey stone, something he always does whenever he is by the sea, but after 15 or so minutes of intense scrutiny he sadly declared that he didn’t think that ours was the sort of beach that yielded up its holey stones easily (if at all) and decided it might be best to not give it much more thought for fear of disappointment 
And then ….. a couple of days later, what did he see at the side of his aforementioned sunbed as he went to dry himself after having a paddle ……. but a holey stone!!!

Well, there was no doing with him …… this was meant for him he gasped almost in disbelief ……. it was a sign that someone was watching over him….. knowing how special finding a holey stone on holiday were to him …….
…… he was truly meant to find it.
Let’s just say it was a robustly emotional Greek moment!
