Nigel is currently pondering that since we find ourselves travelling so much by train these days, between Wolverhampton and Evesham ………
…….. he shouldn’t perhaps take up trainspotting ……
……. but he isn’t entirely sure what it entails. He knows you need a notebook and pencil, a flask of stewed tea and cheese and pickle sandwiches in a Tupperware box, but he isn’t quite sure what you actually spot, especially as when they go past it’s so fast the draught makes him shut his eyes …….. making spotting “something” almost impossible.
It’s better when they are stood standing in the station…… but he isn’t sure if that counts ………...
…… so, so far he has only got one …… and he isn’t really that enamoured. If he does choose to continue to follow this pursuit I think it will be more to do with the aforementioned Tupperware box of cheese and pickle sandwiches than the trains!!!
Popular hobby, train spotting......Nigel's interest went straight to the important part!......a delicious lunch to keep him company while he notes all the various trains he spots........great hobby idea to keep him occupied!.....Dianne
ReplyDeleteDoes Nigel own an anorak? As this is an essential piece of kitthen that could be the deal breaker. Also he would have to be prepared to chat to the other train spotters. That could prove interesting....!
