Every evening, at some stage or another, we always seem to get round to having the same debate, which tends not to be that robust, but more a little at a loss. Our quandary? Well, now we are settled, what should we call our bijoux riverside apartment abode?

Back in Wolverhampton Chateau Castle Greysquirrel just slipped off the tongue and said it all, but here, dans Evesham, there are so many ideas we have tried to put together, but nothing seems to sound quite right or gel, so we wondered, if possibly, our beloved readers could help …….

…… before poor Nigel’s head explodes with thinking! We thought that if we made a list of some of the key features, someone, who is clever with words, could put something together for us, or at least ignite further inspiration and debate.
So ……..
-
We have a beautiful bridge to the side, and during Bank Holidays the GWR steam trains go over it, which is very, very romantic.

Some ideas we have wrestled with, but don’t quite “sing” to us include Barge On, Barge In, Barge Away, Le Nest, Robins Nest……

Riverside Nest, Riverview Nest, Riverside, Squirrels Nest, Monkeys Riverside Nest …….

We need help! We don’t even mind if things go off on a bit of a tangent, we would just like a name!!! As an incentive there will be a small reward for anyone who comes up with a suggestion that we go with. Thank you in anticipation, a name for our new home would be such a lovely Christmas present.
I will have to think about this.
ReplyDeleteBarge Past?
Goodness-what a difficult decision. Bird Paradise?? Wildlife Wonderland??
ReplyDeleteI'll keep thinking about your new title.

Hi Monkey, Darrell and Nigel,
ReplyDeleteHow about 'Riverside Troop Towers' for your house name?
(Troop being a name for a collection of monkeys)

Holey Moley!......the mind starts spinning with all those possibilities for the perfect, oh so right name....Mr. D is desperately needed...going to take much imaginative creative thought that requires a nice snack with something cold to drink (mid 80's F here) ...robins, swans, barges, fishing .....my first thought is something that included Riverside would be good...will ponder......love love love Great Western Railway and their fantastic posters....can't wait to hear the suggestions especially from resident wordsmith Mr. D.....thinking cap on, Dianne
ReplyDeleteWell you do mention rather a lot of birds for sure... and "Castle Greysquirrel" already had squirrel in it... so despite our huge love for squirrels, we feel that it's time for a new animal type of name.
ReplyDeleteHow about the Bird House?
Orrrr... trying find a way to combine birds and water... and maybe fishing...
Kingfishers Manor?
Swan Bridge Palace?
Ahhh... it sure is a tricky one!
I'm thinking..............JantheFan x
ReplyDeleteHere are a few ideas to mix and match and throw around boyz, might be a bit too tame..........Happy Dayz Hollows, Laughing Water Towers, Wild Beauty Towers, Wild Water Towers, Wildlife Hollows, Bonnie View, Bankside View, Riverside Heights, Dunromin Delights, Top Notch View................. JantheFan x
ReplyDeleteDianne,
ReplyDeleteNo pressure on me then. :)
Barge past?
We are counting on your word expertise Mr.D, to sort out all of those fab possibilities!......Dianne
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Robins Nest but you've already discounted that! So....as you're view is so idyllic, something with Dreamers in would be appropriate.....Dreamers Deliight? Or Hearts Rest, as you've settled here so happily. Or New Beginnings.
ReplyDeleteThen again, robins are supposed to be a sign that someone is watching over you, so a name that reflected that would be lovely too....Angels Abode? Heaven's Gate? I'll keep thinking!
My wandering mind couldn't get past particular words:Riverside for sure, then assorted names .....Robins,Swans, Bijoux, and Manor or Manor House......Manor kept cropping up and endless combinations with it.....but you do have some super suggestions from fans......Dianne
ReplyDeletePS.....would something with (on the Avon), or at Avon work?.....Dianne
ReplyDeletePSS.....would something with Cottage work?...Dianne
