Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
I had to search on Google. They are poplar seeds. Dianne, you may know this tree as cottonwood in the USA.
ReplyDeleteThese seeds certainly look pretty but they do get about a bit too.
In our little neck of the woods, in approximately March or early April, EVERYTHING is covered in thick yellow pollen from the endless pine trees.....makes a terrible mess; requires heavy rain to help clear all surfaces...a problem for those with allergies or asthma.....your white fluff is much prettier....Mr. D may very well be the one to solve this!....Love, Dianne
ReplyDeleteGoogle tells me these are seed pods from willow, aspen or poplar trees, and unlikely to trigger allergies.
ReplyDeleteoooo errr - it all goes on down Evesham way. JantheFan x
