Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
All so very exotic! Pour me a cocktail or three please Darrell with a side plate of jelly beans - a perfect combo. JantheFan x
ReplyDeleteFabulous dahling - Hugh has taste! Am sure the wine glass is Crystal D'Arques - way back when I had some (they could even still be loitering here when I think about it) and they 'pinged beautifully. Also. when hand washing them it's great fun to dampen the rim and run a finger round to make them 'sing'! Fill a few to different levels and you have a mini orchestra! I hear that vodka and coke can be used instead :)

The man that does, or Hugh, needs a huge recipe book of cocktails too. Some will have rude sounding names, so careful if young Nigel is in the vicinity. You could get some rather awkward questions.
ReplyDeleteDi you made me smile lots of it is Crystal is Crystal D'Arques we found lots of it still in boxs in the shed when ricks parents died ,in fact they had bon bon dishes, olive and cheese boards you name it they had it his dad was a chef for a lot of business men and every year they would give him sets of this glass at Christmas so much so he could have stocked shop i think he was happy when the 70s were over and in the 80s they gave him tips in money lol big love marc and yes it does sink when wet and sparkle in the sun or candle light
