Nigel’s Home

Nigel arrived home yesterday just in time for tea (spag-bol) full of tales of his London Adventure.

It goes without saying that by 10.30 ( ….. though we really wish it could be on a bit earlier), we were all sat sitting in front of the TV ready for “Nigel’s Episode” of An Extra Slice with a Stroopwafel. We made sure we also had it on record so that we can re-watch and pause it whenever there is a gratuitous audience shot just in case we can spot our little hero!

I know it was really, really hard for Nigel not to tell us what was going to happen next or spoil a punch line, but he managed to reign in his effervescent enthusiasm pretty well.  We all agreed it was indeed a most glorious episode, and although Nigel was certain that he could pick up his own rapturous applause and cheering, I have to admit that Darrell and I were not too sure!
So, that’s The X-Factor and Bake Off ticked off on our bucket list ……. there is just one real BIGGIE left ………..

The Apprentice, which started on Wednesday, so we are in TV heaven right now. Needless to say Darrell has applied, copiously, for a ticket(s) …………now that really would just be the icing on our televisual cake!

    Stroopwafel? If I hadn't seen the packet in the photo, I may have thought you were making them up.

    The camera person did miss the opportunity for a great audience shot of someone as adorable and photographic as Nigel!.....they must have been extra busy that day.....pure excitement to be savored many times over!!....Hooray for Nigel keeping the suspense intact......Much Love, Dianne

    Oh Mr D - it takes a real Bake Off enthusiast to know their Stroopwafel from their potato waffle. I am sad to say, your knowledge on this particular subject is just not up to scratch. Other words of wisdom you could earn a gold star for, but sadly your understanding in the delicacies of the delicious Strophoppletopple, leaves a lot to be digested. JantheFan x

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
