Who’s A Mardy Bum?

Ever vigilant Darrell has spotted that Snickers have new packaging, which, according to him and the advertising bumpff, expresses symptoms such as irritability or moaning for when you are hungry.

Well, to be honest, it’s all way over my head, a Snickers is a Snickers, is a Snickers, ……and  I agree with Darrell, none of us would ever equate a Snickers as the saviour of hunger pangs ……. for us it’s all about being a little televisual treat while we are watching X Factor, Strictly or Bake Off etc. …….. if we are hungry, then it’s all about a sandwich!

However, Darrell thought it would be rude not to make a considered purchase, his choice; Mardy Bum, because it tickled his funny bone!

With another twenty available:-  Moaner, Faffer, Done In, Miffed, Broken, Irritable, Grouchy, Numpty, Stroppy, Yawner, Sluggish, Grumpster, Knackered, Sleepyhead, Lazy Bones, Fuzzy Head, Wiped Out, Complainer and Drama Mama, I might be tempted to buy a few Numptys, Faffers and Fuzzy Heads for a couple of people I know!!!!

And one small observation or not so small observation ………..

… the Snickers wrapper could be described as more than generous …

……. however, I am afraid the Snickers bar within fails in that respect and falls sadly short of that said generosity!

  1. A Snickers is a Snickers, was a Marathon.

Dianne - do you need a translation for any of these? Do you have faffers, numpties, stroppy people or mardy bums in Florida?

  2. Do wonder if the Snickers in UK is different than the one in US....Mr.D might know!.....Snickers US TV commercials are all about needing an energy pick me up with Snickers as the perfect solution.....I prefer Milky Ways or Heath bars or York peppermint when I have an excuse for an energy burst!....love that wonderful selection you have for the perfect sweet treat!....Love, Dianne

  3. Dianne, Snickers in Mexico are the same as in the UK. I assume the Mexican version is made in the US.

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
