As you might remember before Nigel left for New York he expressed a dream of trying a slice of real life American pizza ……… and what can I say, his dream came true, within hours of his arriving ………. twice!!!
The first slice he tried was a “Meat Lovers” with mayo, interestingly, already drizzled on it. Let’s just say, it did not disappoint. Nigel said it was just toooooooooo wonderful for words, and once again he had to pinch himself to double check that this experience wasn’t a dream.
And to make doubly sure, he said that he felt he had try another, this time a pepperoni slice, a couple of hours later. He said that he may never be able to eat pizza back in the UK again, because “real, proper” New York pizza was a completely different kettle of fish. The base was so light and crispy, it just melted in his mouth and then almost floated down into his welcoming tummy!!!!! There was no hard crust bits left round the edges like he leaves back at home, it was pure 100% edible heaven, that could never score high enough on any Richter scale of Noms ………there was nothing in the UK that could ever compare. Pizza slices were beyond any of his wildest dreams, Father Christmas done good …… again!
Mmmm. My mouth is watering. I want at least four slices, now!
