After a storm piles of bedraggled, inside out, spoke broken umbrellas are to be found on every street corner.
He says he’s never seen anything like it ……. and then in the morning …… they’d all disappeared, as if by magic. “New York”, he says “ ……is just brilliant!”
Magic indeed. You would think people would buy those posh ones, that can withstand such blustery conditions.
