The Halcyon Days Before ..... Living In Lockdown - Day 14 - Darrell Says A Very Definite No!

*Please note - this post was put together before we went into meltdown

Before we went into meltdown Nigel took a little trip to The Range for a mooch around and came back completely and totally awestruck .........

He spotted one of their mahoooosive illuminated Eiffel Tower floor lamps on display and was, as he put it "instantly captivated by all its beauty". It was, he said, the most beautiful thing he had ever, ever, ever seen. It goes without saying that as soon as he got back home he was beseeching Darrell to either return with him there and then to see it its beauty for himself or if he trusted Nigel's taste, order it online there and then!  What is he like? 
Poor Darrell, he was totally onslaughted, if that is a word, with Nigel describing "the stunning and iconic 146cm tall Parisian structure, captured in floor lamp form, lit with 120 colour-changing lights entwined around its beautiful silver frame" It was, Nigel added, just that touch of glitz and glamour The Towers needed that would say just about everything anyone would want to know about us, our taste and  our lifestyle.

I, needless to say, am keeping well out of this one ...... I just hope Darrell can hold out in saying no, no and no again and not yielding to Nigel's opinion that Hugh (Darrell's best friend and mentor in all that is a la mode) will be as sick as a parrot gets whiff of it, or that it's all Nigel ever wants when we eventually come out of hibernation   Oh, and the price ...... a mere £99.99!

    Boyz, Boyz, just think of the money you are saving during lockdown, you could easily afford that stunning lamp when it is safe to come out of Robin Towers! Au revoir. JantheFan x

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
