He just doesn’t know how he did it, but Darrell has finally managed to get us an Iceland Online Delivery……….
He says he’d had showered and got dressed extra early yesterday morning when he had a spooky late, great Derek Acorah sort of feeling that he should just check the availability of a Iceland slot …….
At first he said that he thought he was dreaming, because when he logged on every single slot was available to him until mid May, his immediate thought was to log off and on again to double check, but thank goodness he didn’t.
He simply and coolly added a cucumber to his shopping cart and checked out as fast as his brain and little fingers could muster …….. and then …… waited for a order confirmation e-mail to come through, OMG, it did! Let’s just say it suddenly became very emotional, in fact I am not ashamed to say there were one or two quickly wiped away tears when Darrell announced what had just happened.
We now have a few days to add and/or take away items, debating what we need, what would fit into Darrell's menu plan and what would be a a real indulgence, especially when bearing in mind that we have Eurovision in a weeks time, when we really don't want our choice of confectionery to be found wanting!
I don’t think I will believe Darrell has actually done it until I see the bags sat sitting in our kitchen area, the contents of which waiting to be wiped over with a soapy cloth and put away ……… I have to say it again, this really is the meltdown that just keeps on giving!
