Oh dear, Evesham isn’t quite the same place as it was before it went into meltdown, although many shops etc. are gradually reopening, sadly, a few have gone permanently by the wayside …….
……. H Samuel and Clinton Cards have gone from the shopping centre as have Clarkes, Bonmache in the town ……..
…… not to mention Pep and Co …….
……. which has hit Darrell and I particularly hard, as we tended to get an awful lot of our specialised “seasonal” outfits from there. It looks as if we will now have to “train” it into Worcester or even, at a push, back to the homeland of Wolverhampton (obviously when it’s safe travel) for the considered purchase of what Darrell likes to call the key pieces of our festive wardrobe, i.e Christmas, Halloween or Easter, as well as our normal every day wear. They had our size to an absolute T, thus cutting out the need avail ourselves of their fitting room to try on.
Hopefully, fingers crossed and given time, town will pick up, but this blooming, blooming, blooming virus has an awful lot to answer for!
What a pity. You could combine a trip to Pep and Co, Wolverhampton, with a visit to friends and family in the area.
