This morning a parcel arrived addressed to The Boyz with Nigel immediately recognising the handwriting as that of our beloved fan Michelle (sometimes Pharmacy and sometimes CraftyCoffey).
With Darrell currently away at Hugh’s in Worcester, after some debate, none heated, Nigel and I decided that he really wouldn’t mind if we opened it without him, so long as we kept the contents, whatever they were, safe for him to see until he got back home.
It was emotional, because inside was another box of Maltesers, our very favourite confectionary of choice AND a packet of Marmite (our savoury spread of choice) oven baked cashews, which we absolutely love, but reserve the purchase of for extra special occasions as they are a little bit expensive when compared to other nuts based treats.
There was also a lovely card with a note inside ……..
It then got emotional all over again. How very, very kind, we love Michelle, she is sooooooo thoughtful.
Needless to say, our comestible treasures plus Michelle’s card have been put safely on a shelf ready for Darrell’s return, to be enjoyed by all of us, most probably on a Saturday night when it is our present custom to watch Eurovision’s past on YouTube ………… happy days

ReplyDeleteVery thoughtful gifts, Michele. Maltesers, Marmite and cashews are all delicious. A combination of the latter two sound wonderful.
Glad the goodies arrived safely. I’m tempted to try the Marmite cashews myself-if I do, I’ll let you know my thoughts.
