Last Minute Halloween Preps

You find us in hectic, last minute preparation mode for our annual Iris and Bertie Halloween Sleepover.

Our Tesco order arrived this morning with, thankfully, no substitutions, but including a very nicely proportioned 65p pumpkin ….

Our cupboards are bulging with celebratory and festively apt comestibles and our halls, well, they’ve been well and truly decked since the beginning of October …….

…… however, despite Darrell’s Halloween Spreadsheet appearing to include everything that had to be done, we’d still, somehow, managed to forgot the doctoring of Iris and Bertie’s (Christmas) crackers …….

…… removing the innards like the Christmas motto and substituting them with something a little more exciting than just a wiggling fish that purports to tell your fortune!

That being said, it didn’t take all that long with every single monkey, man and boy, working hard at the helm ……..

All we need to do now is get a good nights sleep ……. 

....... for tomorrow and Sunday we shall party like little spooks and spectres have never partied before……. bring it on!

    But wiggling fish are the best, if they tell your future, or not!

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
