The Evesham Da Vinci Code?

There is a very romantic cottage we pass frequently, that we all quite admire and despite it being right next door to the undertakers wouldn’t mind a nosey round, should it ever come up for sale ……..

However, for the moment, it is its front door in particular that holds us in a certain thrall ……..

……. as it had some sort of Da Vinci Code chalked across the top of the front door for some months now ………

…….. giving it a great air of mystery and intrigue. What, if anything, does it add up to and/or what could it possibly mean, subcutaneous quadraphonic equations not really being our sort of thing?

Mr D, fountain of all knowledge ……… over to you amidst the sweltering climes of Mexico to solve for us perhaps?

    Intriguing.

    I'm afraid that I wasn't the font of this knowledge. I had to Google it.

    "The message is as follows, [the first two digits of the year] + C + M + B + [the last two digits of the year]”. The “C”, “M”, and “B” stand for the names of the three Magi – Caspar, Malchior & Balthazar, and the “+” represents the cross. For example, in 2022 people will mark “20 + C + M + B + 22” in chalk above their front door. The message also abbreviates the Latin phrase, Christus Mansionem Benedicat, meaning “May Christ bless the house.”"

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
