This month we are mostly indulging in the pleasures of a cheeky Saturday night Rhubarb Lamborghini.
A sharp, lightly sparkling, 4% alcohol, unmistakably rhubarb, infused wine with only 99 calories per can, discovered by Darrell as he mooched the shelves of our local Home Bargains, a considered purchase at just 99p a pop.
We’d describe it was a pretty classic for its 2009 vintage, with a pleasant nose, it’s smooth, light and refreshing and in our opinion, the perfect accompaniment to any summer de rigueur, al fresco picnic …..
….. and there’s more ……..
…….. with its invigorating rhubarb content, could it be an any more perfect addition to our already robust and vigorous 5 a day regime, especially, as a natural born laxative, helping to keep us all regular of a personal type nature!

In my day it was snakebite, Cinzano Bianco or a cheeky cider. And who of a certain age can forget Campari and lemonade?
