Other than the odd bottle of Asti Spumante, Cherry B and a cheeky Babycham or two, our real celebratory tipple of choice, over the festive season, has to be zee cocktail ……….
……. and that end, yesterday morning Darrell nipped in to town for some very important, can’t do without, accruements, two wit, a mountain of lemons which he then sliced and froze, all ready to drop into any drink, “just like that”!
He also stocked up on goodness knows how many sherbet fountains to add a certain zing round the edge of our glasses …… and of course, no cocktail would be worth its weight in salt without the obligatory cocktail cherry on a stick!
The boy dun gud, very gud ………… it really is beginning to feel like Christmas!
Well dun, Darrell - you have dun very gud. Cherries on a stick makes me think of the seventies. Was it the height of sophistication? Mum wouldn't possibly know, as she is far too young. In fact, she probably wasn't born until the 1980s.
