Yesterday morning, while Nigel and I were both out, Darrell got a text message from our lovely, but distraught “other” neighbour upstairs ………
…….. well, it would have just looked plain rude and unneighbourly for Darrell not to respond on his and our behalf and nip upstairs …….
……. “to do what a man’s gotta do”, armed with his best Tupperware box, to rescue a damsel in very obvious distress ………
…… from all temptation of a wedding dress fitting type nature …….
……. still leaving a few of the delicacies for our other neighbours, but not you know who!
OMG, I have to confess, very little was said later on when we partook in our afternoon cup of tea, for all the happy nomming and humming of the theme tune to “Neighbours” The more than generous cobbler muffins and tray bake were to die for. Needless to say, recipes have been exchanged and any unseemly seam busting effortlessly averted! Oh boy, do we love a cancelled meeting!
A load of cobblers, then? But not old misery guts - 'Im-Up-Atop. (Boo, hiss.)
