The PE Lady’s Mum’s Whisky Marmalade …..

As you know Marmite is our customary spread of choice on our toast for our breakfast repast …..
PE Lady's Mums Whisky MarmaladeHowever,  this morning we made a comestible detour because the PE Lady’s Mum sent us, via her daughter the PE lady,  a very special jar of her prize winning whisky marmalade.
Whisky MarmaladeTo say we felt blessed and honoured in a Hello magazine type way would be slight understatement, as we know that there is quite a waiting list of people champing at the bit for just a spoonful of this romantic orangey and alcofrolic delicacy.
Homemade marmaladeWhen we opened the jar we were greeted by an absolutely divine aroma ….
Homemade marmalade on toast…. and there was a tangible and palpable sense of expectancy as Darrell spread our toast, we noted the very generous slivers of orange peel in the marmalade which boded very well for our rigorous 5 a day regime.
marmalade on toast.How did it taste? It tasted absolutely WONDERFUL ….. full bodied and robust ….. and well off our Richter scale for noms…..
Marmalade on toastNigel just couldn’t get enough of it, however due to its whisky content we have had to limit his consumption everso slightly as it did give him the propensity to hiccough rather a lot after each of the six slices he managed to get down his neck!
marmalade sandwichesNevertheless, we did allow him to swop his usual Marmite and Dairy Lea triangle sandwiches for two PE Lady’s Mums marmalade butties just this once, because if we hadn’t,  Nigel would have had one of his sulks!

Sorry we are going to have to add word verification our comments section as it seems we are again being bombarded with spam!!! So if your comment doesn't come up straight away it means that our lady "that does" is going through them with a fine toothcomb, so that the spammers don't get through .....This is such a robust pain in the bottom and as such we have boycotted all SPAM comestibles in protest ..... sandwiches, fritters, fricasse etc.!!!!!!
