It has to be said that Darrell is Dame Kelly Hoppen’s number one interior décor fan, BUT yesterday he announced, with a flounce, that he simply couldn’t do beige any more, the dark mornings and early evenings were getting him down and he needed, no demanded, colour!
To be honest, my immediate thought was to hid the paint roller and turps but thankfully Darrell had plans other than painting The Towers floor to ceiling in Flamingo Dreaming, Tangerine Tomato or Brilliant Nacho!
After poring over Pinterest and talking to Hugh, his best friend and mentor, he was going to embrace his inner gypsy getting out his Sharpie pens to colour a few of the drops on the chandelier in his and Nigel’s room,
A move that might have had Dame Kelly hyperventilate into a paper bag for several hours, but I have to say Darrell done good and his usual rambunctious mood was soon restored …… but autumn has barely started and we have the winter to face …… I think I should now consider hiding his Sharpie pens for fear what he might “colour in” next!
