This morning we were all woken by the sound of loud machinery coming from the back of The Towers ………….
…… needless to say it would have only looked rude not to investigate.
……. and what Darrell and Nigel found put Nigel in such a complete and utter state of flux ……
……. because we had a real, live, breathing lumberjack in the garden, just how romantic is that .......
……. with his life hanging from a thread, all be it quite a thick one ……….
……. whilst wielding his mahooooosive and powerful manly tool with purpose and aplomb.
It was all Darrell could do to stop the little fella from coming back into The Towers to fetch his bright orange hard hat and hi-viz waistcoat from our days at The Girls High School!
Instead Darrell thought it best to calm things down by offering a little liquid refreshment, which was politely turned down, much to Nigel’s disappointment …….
…… as I know he was building himself up to asking the lumberjack's colleague if he could possibly help put a log or just the tiniest branch in to his chipping machine. When all this is finally over I don’t think any of us Chez Towers dare say that our meltdown was anything but boring. Happy days.
