There is a most impressive collection of games in the cupboard in the dining room at Cockle Cottage and in the evenings we have availed ourselves of them.
We particularly like playing golf tiddlywinks and think that had Sevi been with us he would have found it most enjoyable too.
However we are not too sure that we are playing Flipping Fish, which describes itself as the jolliest game for young and old, quite right.Whenever we play it there are fish flying akimbo and we have to keep telling Nigel not to try to eat them.
There is also a most acceptable selection of reading matter too, so Nigel has had lots of new stories at bedtime.
Anything with a seaside, maritime flavour has sent him to sleep within minutes of my finishing them, but I am not sure if that’s all the fresh air or my storytelling technique.

I do hope that the stories contain "Once upon a time" and "And they all lived happily ever after."
