Or ….. Happy Chinese New Year ….. we practised saying “Gong Xi Fa Cai” at every opportune opportunity last night until we were almost fluent and bilingual ….
….. in order that we could greet each other properly this morning, whilst exchanging our lucky red envelopes or Hong Bao, containing a few coins and a couple of sweets, which will hopefully bring us much robust good luck and wealth in this, the Year of the Snake. 
Darrell said that tonight we shall also feast greatly to welcome in the New Year, as he had got his Gok Wan out and has been busy preparing something sumptuous of a Chinese type nature for our celebratory teatime repast ….

You are far better than I to tackle those Chinese phrases! Darrell's cooking is looking delicious; definitely getting your 5 a day there....looks like Darrell might also be getting a steamy facial to boot!....wishing you lots of Chinese noms....Dianne
