A Very Happy Chinese New Year

Today, you find us in buoyant festive mood …..  because, it is the start of the Chinese New Year!  So, a very “Gong Hey Fat Choy”, to you all from Castle Greysquirrel!
We will celebrate the heralding in of the Year of the Goat (or Sheep) in the most suitable way possible for us, ….. namely of a comestible type nature, so we will therefore be partaking in a Chinese meal for three, with extra prawn crackers,  from the only Chinese Takeaway in the village, Jade House………
…….  if they are open that is …… they might be closed in view of the celebrations, so we will need to send Nigel over later on to double check.
If they are indeed closed (though we doubt it), we have an alternative plan, ……Darrell will do a Gok for us ……. as he is quite a wizard with the noodle and splash of soy, with grateful thanks to said Gok, of course!

Happy Chinese New Year to you all, such a pity it's not the Year of the Monkey. That would have been perfect especially as I have just discovered your blog. As Thursday is shopping night we might delay our celebrations until tomorrow evening.
