I can’t believe that it’s been a year since I was last standing beside the Lady Wulfrun organ, enjoying its many and varied tunes at the village Easter Monday Fayre, but yes, it is!
Nigel would never, ever, miss the fayre …….. it’s ingrained in his blood (or something) ….
……. and as Darrell was busy Skyping with Hugh, his best friend and mentor who lives the showbiz life in Notting Hill, planning his next visit, I said I would go with Nigel, if only to keep an eye on where his pennies were going.
The church was again blessed (in a biblical way, rather than a Hello Magazine type way) with glorious warm sunshine and romantic clear blue skies, all that bell ringing and praying always seems to pay off, except for the year it snowed! And with the aforementioned romantic clear blue skies came the crowds from all directions of the village, so it was a bit hard to keep my beady eye on Nigel ….
…… but I needn’t have worried, he was on a mission of sensibility, rather than fritter his money away on trying to win a bottle of J2O or Babycham ….. he was on the look out for something useful to take home, so he mostly concentrated on the wares on the Toy and White Elephant stalls……
……. as he found a bag of dinosaurs for 20p, which he couldn’t wait to show Darrell. Nigel wanted them so that he could teach Baby Iris all their names, because Tom The Scientist is keen that Baby Iris will be as obsessed by love dinosaurs as just much as he does.
Nigel also found a box of stamps and pencils, that he thought would also come in very useful as he had been pondering the idea of making his own cards for people to try to save a bit of spending money for our 2015 Greek Odyssey holiday, as well “explore” his creative side! I made a few considered purchases at the Cake Stall that afforded us a most sumptuous Easter tea ……. but, there was something else that Nigel found ………… but that, will have to wait till tomorrow ……………………….

A bargain bag of dinosaurs.
Can't wait for tomorrow's instalment - like waiting for the next Flash Gordon episode at the cinema.
Looks like you had a glorious day for your Easter Fayre. Excellent purchases-educational dinosaurs & something to start Nigel cardmaking. If he takes after his namesake on the TV craft channel then he'll be writing a book soon!!

Oh it looks like my kind of fayre boyz! JantheFan x
What a perfect day for the Fayre!....I think I remember Fayre times where the weather was less than desirable! .....dear Nigel made some excellent choices and wisely has his eye on the prize regarding Greece....yum, yum, cake stalls are the best; where you can indulge in a variety of delicious choices ...looks like a great day...Dianne
