Now we are not working, we need to adhere to a very strict budget, and in doing so Darrell has become a bit of a creature of habit …. in fact I can almost tell the time by him.
At around 7.30 each evening, I can see him getting a little restless and then he nips out, saying he’s popping over to the village Tesco Express ……
…….. in the expectant anticipation that perhaps the reduced trolley will be out and he might be able to avail himself of a bargain or two, especially of a baked goods type nature.
Last night he bagged us our very absolute loaf of choice ….. the much seeded Hovis ……but at £1.49, it’s always a bit of a luxury item……..
……… so it’s seriously lovely mid-day cheese and marmite sandwiches for us all this week!!! Nom, nom, nom, nom, nom!!!!! The kid dun gud!!!!
NB – we very much like a bargain, but would never ever be party to the type of supermarket scrum currently going viral on the tinternet!!!!
