As you know Marmite is our very favourite savoury spread of choice, so you can imagine my delight when I found this cookbook for just 60p in one of the charity shops in town.
However, I have to confess, I have been a bit of a stranger to the oven at The Towers, we inherited it with the flat, but ever since we’ve been here it has been incredibly noisy, often drowning out our teatime Judge Rinder viewing, you can’t read the temperature on the dials so it’s all guess work and, to be honest I wouldn’t trust a Victoria sponge or tray of Brownies to it, as everything we have put in it so far, of a needing to be baked type nature, has come out with one burnt side and the other side remaining pale and pasty!!!

Looks great.
Better get a giant jar of Marmite!
Ooh-the cooking & baking list sounds delicious. When are the gilt edged invitations being sent out?? Looking forward to hearing all about the testing of the new oven.

New appliance/oven is always just what we need to get enthusiastic about recipes and cooking/baking... we need to be making brownies ourselves! ....can't wait to see what that fab Marmite book inspires you to create; this was meant to be!Love to all, Dianne
