Nigel’s Bit Of A Fixer Up-per

Nigel’s been mooching again in the “Antique Shop” up the road …..

…… heaven help me!

He says ……… it’s a bit of a fixer up-per!

Now, what Nigel knows about any car, let alone a Reliant Robin can be written on the back of a postage stamp …… and to be honest I don’t know that much more, except that, with my limited knowledge, his fixer up-per looks like a heap of old scrap ………

…… and I have warned him, very robustly, that any such project should only ever be undertaken by an experienced “classic car restorer” and under no circumstance is he to form any sort of idyllic romantic attachment to it or start counting the pennies in his jar so that he can put in an offer!!!!!!

OH dear, oh dear.....once the vintage/antique car bug bites, there is no turning back!.....more ever, they can take over your life!..... besides antique cars require their own special storage/garage cozy home (preferably with antique car prints on the wall); no sitting outside in the weather for them!....hopefully Nigel will discover a new fascination!.....Love from Dianne

PS would personally love a little vintage Morris Minor; a neighbor had a right hand drive white one and I always envied it as she drove by!

Dianne, two of my relatives had Morris Minors when I was a child. One of them had a Morris Traveller too. Happy memories.
