In his expert opinion of all things of a window display type nature …….
……… the best seasonal window in town belongs the florist up Port Street, conveniently situated at the mid way point of his journey home from the school run …….
…… thus affording him a little respite as he stands and takes in all it’s full magic and beauty.
It is truly autumnal, perhaps, if he were being ultra critical, lacking a (stuffed) squirrel or two gathering their nuts for the winter and/or a snuffling hedgehog preparing for hibernation?
There also not a hint of Halloween to be seen, however Nigel wonders if they are playing a blinder on this one, leaving the carving of spooky faces on the pumpkins and the addage of a few supernatural elements until right at the end of the month. We are currently taking bets on whether they do or not, but it’ll be keeping the little fella’s mind occupied and full of suspense until/if they do, which is never a bad thing …………

A snuffling hedgehog?
Do they have a cold? Or are they snuffling through the undergrowth?
