Nigel Tries A New Tack ……..

With the end of the school year fast approaching, Nigel once again wanted to find his beloved readers a little something to encourage them to carry on reading over the holidays and perhaps to remember him by when they move up to Year 3 ………..

….. and as such, since Christmas, he’s been saving some of his pocket money each week to buy each of them a book, however, imagine his disappointment when he discovered that his usual port of call for his 10 books for £10 is no longer available, instead the only offer is 3 for £5, a little bit too much for his budget.   However, not wishing to become undone, after some thought, he decided to follow a new plan ….

…….. and the boy sure “dun gud”!  It’s going to take him a bit longer to collect enough books and he knows he needs to be extra pernickety about their condition ……….

……. but once again the charity shops of Evesham have come to the rescue trumps ……..

…….. he’s found a source of suitable books in pristine condition for just 25p each, or 5 for £1,  so he’s even managed to save enough money to put some away to do the same for Christmas! So it’s win, win, win!

Bless his little cotton socks ……… happy days!

Well done, Nigel! Both the children and the charity shop will be happy.

Would he be able to arrange a swap shop of the books, after the summer?

That is so very sweet and so thoughtful - to encourage young people to read is extra special. Books are such a gift in so many more ways than just the giving of. JantheFan x
