While Darrell was out mooching with Lu over the weekend, she asked if he would mind if they just popped into shops like Boots, Savers and Superdrug, so she could peruse their shower product range, as she was after some Nivea “Love Sunshine” ……….
……… which had had rave reviews over the internet for it’s evocative “summer holiday” type fragrance. It took a while, but they eventually found it in the aforementioned Savers, and well, always one to try out a new product, Darrell decided to make a considered purchase himself, anything to bring his beloved sea to the shower cubicle and his skin.
Once home it took him a while to put his finger on the whiff, he thought he could pick up a little lemon, but finally, after a good five minutes of inhaling the bottle, he decided it was suntan lotion that he could smell, hence the suggested holiday feel/aroma!
Sooooooooooo, after a week of some very vigorous showering and even more sniffing, Darrell came to the conclusion that it’s OK, but for him, it doesn’t really evoke enough of our (mainly Greek) holidays to kindle the same state of emotion ……. however, when we do finally get to Hanioti, he’s going to treat himself to a couple of bottles of real life Greek shower gel (one and a spare) using one of them from our very first day, so that the aroma becomes firmly established in his holiday olfactory memory for when we (sadly) have to return home. What on earth is he like?

Nice try, Darrell and Lu.
Noted for its "evocative “summer holiday” type fragrance." What, exactly does a summer holiday smell of? Candy floss? Fish and chips? Sea air? Mountain dew?
I've never seen that in the Nivea range before - will look for it next time I'm out and about. JantheFan x
